Tonsillectomy

Tonsillectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the tonsils, typically due to chronic throat infections or sleep-disordered breathing such as obstructive sleep apnea. It’s a common outpatient surgery with a relatively quick recovery. Most patients experience relief from recurring sore throats and improved breathing following the procedure.

Adenoidectomy

Adenoidectomy involves the removal of the adenoids—small tissue masses located behind the nose. This procedure is often recommended for children who experience frequent ear infections, nasal obstruction, or breathing issues. It may be performed alone or alongside a tonsillectomy. Recovery is generally smooth, and most patients notice better breathing and fewer infections.

Myringotomy

Myringotomy is a minor surgical procedure in which a small incision is made in the eardrum to relieve pressure and drain fluid buildup. In many cases, small ear tubes are placed to help prevent recurring infections and fluid accumulation. This procedure is commonly recommended for children but may also be appropriate for adults with chronic ear problems.
